Rumba Robinia

Created by David 3 years ago

Woolacombe beach on a bright but blustery winter morning. Eight friends are walking along the beach, dressed in anoraks, scarfs, gloves and walking shoes. We had earlier joined a group lesson to learn a new dance, the Rumba Robinia and were taking a hard earned break.

John turned to the group and asked "How did that middle bit go in the Ribena?" As we struggled to describe in words, it seemed easier to demonstrate and, within seconds, we had formed a line of dancers on the beach. Within a few minutes, and lots of friendly banter, we were performing an impromptu dance routine on the rough sand, ignoring the amused gazes around us.

Keep the joy of dancing,John. We love you,

Jean and David
